How To Report An Emergency

Medical Emergency

  1. Call 911
  2. Provide 911 Operator your address and your lot number
  3. Follow operator's instructions. The operator will attempt to give you directions on how you can assist while emergency medical personnel are making their way to your location.

Structure Fire

  1. Call 911
  2. If it safe to do so, call 911 before leaving the structure.
  3. If you have a cell phone, leave the structure and call 911.
  4. Recommended approach: Get out of the structure. If necessary, go to a neighbor's house to use the phone to call 911. Because of the distance between neighbors, use your best judgement and keep you and your family out of harm's way
  5. Provide 911 Operator your address, lot number, and status of people who might be inside the structure. This information will allow the 911 Operator to relay to emergency personnel who are responding to the call.
  6. Get out of the structure and STAY OUT!
  7. Make sure you and your family have a meeting place outside and away from the fire where you can assess who escaped.

Brush Fire

  1. Call 911
  2. Provide 911 Operator your address, lot number, and description of the fire location and size.
